How to Limit your Financial Risk?
Collision Damage Waiver Insurance (CDW)
Collision Damage Waiver Insurance (CDW) is an optional coverage that limits your liability in the event of an accident. At Starlite Car Rental, we waive the right to collect a deductible above the excess amount on your contract if the rental vehicle is damaged or an accident occurs. Please note that CDW coverage does not include vehicle theft or tire damage.
Third-Party Liability Insurance (TPL)
Third-Party Liability Insurance (TPL) is another optional coverage that provides protection to renters in case their rental vehicle damages property or injures a third party. By supplementing your coverage, you can transfer some of the risks back to the rental company. Without Liability Coverage, the renter will be responsible for the full value of any damaged property or human injuries.
Accident & Theft Procedure
In case of an accident or theft, it is essential to notify the police and a Starlite representative immediately. Please be aware that allowing unauthorized persons to drive the vehicle, leaving the windows and doors unlocked, or operating the vehicle while intoxicated is considered a breach of contract. If any of the terms of your rental agreement are violated, the insurance waiver becomes void.
Deductible Excess
The deductible excess on our rental cars is $750, and for larger vehicles such as jeeps, SUVs, and vans, it is $1200. However, there may be exceptions to this rule, and we encourage you to read your rental agreement carefully to understand the terms and conditions of your coverage. At Starlite Car Rental, we want to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable rental experience, and our optional insurance coverages are designed to provide you with extra peace of mind.
