We recently rented a vehicle from StarLite during our trip to Sint Marteen. I can say that this was a super convenient experience to pick up and drop off our rental. The staff was kind and courtesy to us and very helpful. I would recommend giving them a try if you're looking for a rental on the island. The price was very competitive and the service was good.

The service was exceptional. Everyone was friendly and helpful. A special shout out to Ackheem. He went above and beyond to help us. The car needed some help. It was a Hundai Grand and the shockes were gone plus it struggled to get up hills. Other than that, we would recommend this company, just a different car.

What a perfect experience...yet again! Myself and my extended family have been visiting St. Maarten annually for decades and we exclusively use Starlight rental. The service is excellent! Prices very reasonable. They meet us at the airport as we exit. No lines. No delays. They help us with our bags and paperwork is presented with the keys. Same easy drop off! We are met at departures, helped with our bags, hand the keys off and we are on our way. Friendly, warm, efficient and dependable service with a warm smile!! Could not more highly recommend!

For this trip, we decided to support a locally owned company instead of one of the corporate behemoths. StarLite gave us a low daily rate for a compact car. The car was clean, unscathed and in excellent running condition. Getting the car was easy because they keep their cars in the airport parking lot less than 100 meters from the terminal exit. Same with the return. The whole rental and return process was typical and smooth. And we got an excellent local restaurant recommendation from the guy who gave us the car.

I've rented from many car rental companies during my travels to SXM, and Starlite has easily been the best. They are friendly, responsive, and offer great pricing with well-maintained vehicles. The entire process was seamless, making them my preferred choice on the island. I highly recommend them to all my family and friends visiting SXM and look forward to renting from them again on our next trip!

Excellent service at airport. No rental counters inside terminal, representatives in uniform meet you as you leave the customs and arrival area. At first, it feels like a hustle, but we soon realized that all the rental companies work this way. The inside rep handed us off to a outside rep that walked us to our car in the main parking lot just a few steps from the terminal. All the paperwork and inspection of the vehicle was done in the parking lot. Very friendly. Wait for the rental attendant to get you out of the parking lot with their pass. When you return, they open the entry gate for you with their pass. It's a bit confusing, but it works. With discount code, price was good. If ever back on the island, we will definitely rent from Starlite.

Starlite was AMAZING. They met us at the arrival area, easy walk over to the pickup spot - it was fast and easy... The agent was so sweet and helpful. Return was just as easy and fast. We loved our perfect sized car for the 2 of us. We would definitely rent from Starlite again!

This company deserves every one of their five star ratings. From the moment we made the reservation, through pick up and drop off, they were extremely professional and responsive. It was an easy walk from the cruise terminal to get the car, and the representative was there waiting for us as promised. We were on our way in minutes. We got caught in traffic on the way back and were running late, and the rep offered to meet us at the gate to the terminal to save time, which likely prevented us from missing the ship. I can't say enough good things about the company and will definitely use them next time we're in Sint Maarten. As a note, it took us about 1.5 hours to make it back the 14km from Mullet Bay Beach on a Friday afternoon. If you go there and need to catch a ship, leave early!

We rented a car from Starlite on Feb 3, 2025 and were extremely happy with service. They met us as instructed near the cruise ship terminal. The car was very nice, new. When we returned they drove us back to the Cruise Ship. Would definitely recommend and would use again.

Starlite does it again!! First off, we are not the easiest customer to deal with. I had a special situation where I didn't need a car for our whole duration of our stay. So, we rented the first vehicle, could not be easer with pick up and drop off, literally took minutes. Then we needed a few day break and picked up another one for the rest of our stay. Starlite went above and beyond with service levels we have not seen with car rental companies in St. Maarten. This was our 23rd trip to the island and Starlite just keeps getting better. We are thrilled with them and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I have coming to St. Maarten for over 30 years, and we have rented from numerous car rental agencies(Leisure, Ace, Thrifty) and this was the first year we tried StarLite and it was the best experience by far! First off the communication was exceptional prior to our arrival and to confirm our rental(unlike Thrifty). We were met at the airport, where they took us to the car on site(versus getting in another vehicle to take you to an offsite office). Exceptionally friendly staff, our car was practically brand new-only one other renter. Drop off was quick and easy, with NO HASSLES! Won’t use anyone else for our trip back next year. Also, the final bill was exactly what was quoted-No Hidden Fees!

Outstanding. They meet you with the car at the front door of the airport and you drop it off with them at the "departures" door when you return it. They were friendly. The process was easy. The vehicle was exactly as described. This was easier than Hertz or Avis.

Net terug van een geweldige vakantie op sint maarten, bijzonder blij met de geweldige service van starlite! Bij aankomst op 23 december bleek dat ik de auto pas vanaf 24 december gereserveerd had....de agent loste dit probleem direct op een hele relaxte manier op zodat ik na een uur alsnog vanaf 23 december de beschikking had over de auto. Los daarvan was de auto prima en alle communicatie met alle agents van Starlite heel prettig. Ook supervlotte en sympathieke afhandeling bij inleveren van de auto. Complimenten!

If you are traveling to St. Maarten and in need of a car rental you can't get any better than Starlite! Shanyra and the team took care of us. Thee booking was easy, they met us right beside the cruise terminal. The car was clean, modern, and a nice smooth ride for us and our kids. We were a little late getting back due to bad accidents and construction and they were very understanding which we appreciated. Turning it back over to them was quick and easy so we could get back to the ship in a timely manner. No hidden costs or charges, you pay what you are quoted! Great experience, highly recommend them, would definitely use them again when we come back to St. Maarten!

We were in St Maarten for the day from a cruise ship and would HIGHLY recommend Starlite Car Rental- St.Maarten. They met us right outside of the cruise port and pickup could not have been easier. Drop off went equally well. We had car trouble of our own doing and the company could not have been more responsive and helpful. We will be going back to St. Maarten in the future and will def be using Starlite Car Rental- St.Maarten again!

This was my second time using StarLite. Easy no charge booking, notified before landing to validate my flight time, then charged prior to landing. My car was waiting right outside, clean and ready to go. Quick walkaround inspection, signing and we were off! Same for return. The same gentlemen was waiting for me at the car rental return and I was done in a minute, right in front of the terminal. Will definitely use StarLite on my next trip.

I realized once back at airport that I accidentally left my bag at my hotel. From start to finish everything was spot on. Communication was the best I have seen in a company in a long time. Agents were there to greet us both upon arrival and again upon departure. The price was more than fair as were the terms. We will use Starlite again on our next visit.

Great company. Very responsive when I booked online. They email with consistency, but not too much. They mail you directions with pictures. The associates who met us at the pick up lot (near the cruise terminal in St. Martin) were both really professional and nice. Liked them both a lot. Car was clean, great. I timed how long it took me to walk from where you exit the cruise terminal and start walking down the sidewalk along the road to the pick up lot, and it was 5 min. Or less walking. Lots of people going in same direction (toward Phillipsburg). Don’t think twice, they had the best prices and were totally reliable. NOTE!! Make SURE you know what time your ship docks, then book your car pick up for 30 min after that. Don’t try to book your pick up at the same time your ship docks.

Easy experience renting a car from Starlite on our recent cruise. We walked a short distance out of the port and were met with our rental car. At the end of the day we we dropped the car off where we picked it up and got a ride back to the port. Highly recommend starlite rentals! Nice new clean vehicles.

What a great experience from start to finish. Our flight was delayed by 6 hours, but that was no problem, we were met at the airport and drove away in a brand new, full-sized vehicle. I will definitely be renting from them again!

Going with a new company that you have never had the opportunity of using is always scary. I took a chance on this car rental company and I couldn’t have been happier that we did. The most professional kind people to work with. From the moment my wife, kids and I got out of the airport they carried our bags to the car and had us loaded and on our way in less then 15 min. Starlite Car Rental in SXM is fantastic. You book your rental online on their website. You will hear from someone shortly after for any info they need or to email you your confirmation. When you arrive on the island they meet you right at the airport. You don't have to take a shuttle. You take care of the paperwork right there and drive away. Then they meet you back there when you return your rental. You are always greeted with a smile and the girls in the office is fantastic. Always available by email or phone number if you need assistance with your rental. Don't give it another thought! Rent with Starlite, you will be glad you did!

I wrote this original review 2 years ago. I still use Starlite every time I visit the island. Which is a few times a year. They are still fantastic as always. You can get a quote and make reservations on line and they meet you at the airport. It really doesn't get much easier!
